Research

 

Prof. Joos' research is situated in the area of empirical financial accounting. His research interest are: Use of Accounting and Non-Accounting Data for Equity Valuation, Accounting Conservatism, Earnings Prediction, Firms' Selection Process of Chief Executive Officers, Corporate

Governance, Valuation in R&D-Intensive Industries, Real Options, Credit Scoring, Failure Prediction, IPO long-term performance, International Accounting Standards, International Earnings Comparability.

 

His work has appeared in academic journals including the Financial Management; Journal of Accounting Research; The European Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance; Applications of Machine Learning and Data Mining in Finance; and Tijdschrift voor Economie en Management among others
